Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead, plan, and deliver all technical components across our events and production projects. The ideal candidate will oversee AV, lighting, rigging, IT networks, staging, and all technical operations—ensuring seamless execution, cost efficiency, and top-tier quality from planning to post-event review.
This role requires a strong technical background, leadership capability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced events environment..

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

Develop comprehensive technical project plans covering AV, lighting, IT, rigging, and staging.

Ensure all technical setups meet specifications, safety guidelines, and client expectations.

Vendor & Supplier Management

Evaluate, negotiate, and manage suppliers for technical services and equipment.

Ensure vendor performance meets project standards and timelines.

Budgeting & Cost Control

Prepare and manage technical budgets.

Optimise resources while maintaining financial compliance.

Timeline & Delivery Management

Create detailed technical schedules and track progress.

Resolve obstacles proactively to ensure seamless delivery.

Risk & Safety Management

Conduct technical risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Team Leadership

Lead and support technicians, engineers, and project teams.

Ensure clear communication and effective task allocation.

Post-Event Analysis

Produce technical evaluation reports and implement improvement measures.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Stay updated with industry technologies and recommend new solutions.

Support workflow enhancements and operational efficiency.

Material & Warehouse Coordination

Monitor stock readiness and identify material gaps.

Collaborate with Warehouse and Management to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Audio-Visual, Electronics, Electrical or related).

PMP certification preferred.

Additional AV/lighting/rigging certifications (CTS, Dante, MA Lighting) are a plus.

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on understanding of AV, lighting, rigging, IT networks, and event technical operations.

Proficiency with Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or similar software.

Experience with PM tools like MS Project, Asana, Monday.com.

Knowledge of equipment specs, signal flow, and technical design.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years in technical project management within events/AV/production.

Proven ability to manage mid-to-large scale technical projects.

Demonstrated success in delivering quality results within time and budget.
