Project Manager (Doha based)

Job Summary

A Project Manager, or PM, is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives. Their duties include dividing up their budget for different project aspects and advocating for additional funding when necessary, hiring freelance professionals or selecting project team members from existing departments, and setting or adjusting project schedules to adhere to deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize quotations for Tenders/RFQs/RFPs/BOQs
  • Prepare and communicate technical production & labor schedules, sub-rental requirements, project scope, execution plan, and individual responsibilities to lead crew members, vendors, and venue.
  • Determine the resources (time, crew, equipment, etc.) required to complete each project.
  • Maintain focus on client needs by attending client meetings, creating, and maintaining organized show documentation, and responding to client concerns and questions.
  • Monitor progress throughout the event planning process and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Assist the sales and operations team to help determine equipment needs and technical solutions for assigned projects.
  • Assist with the creation of technical diagrams, drawings, and renderings when required.
  • Review all sales documents to confirm that the equipment and technical positions will meet the client’s needs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with clients at all levels of their organization and provide outstanding customer service while focusing on customer retention.
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources – including third-party vendors and multipliers.
  • Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed on a daily basis — escalating issues as necessary based on project plans/schedules.

Requirements/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field 7+ years of project management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with developing new projects.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Previous success in producing deliverable software platforms.
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
  • Experience developing in-house platforms for internal processes.
  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets.
  • Proficiency with Current RMS and Microsoft 365 especially MS Projects.
  • Min PMP certificate or Prence 2
